- Pass through the clear waters of Baekcheon Valley and the habitat of the endangered lenok.

- Connecting from Munsusan Peak towards Cheonjedan (Summit) changes the route to an intermediate course.
- Crampons recommended for snowy winter trails (slopes throughout the entire course)
Start from the Hyeonbulsa Temple parking lot in Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do. Check current weather and control information at the visitor center and use the restroom before entering the mountain.
Follow the paved road and trail past Hyeonbulsa Temple to reach the entrance of Baekcheongyegok Valley. Hyeonbulsa Temple, founded during the Silla Dynasty, is a worthwhile attraction to visit. The forest path has almost no incline.
Ascend along the clear, cold stream. This section is an excellent natural ecological environment, serving as a habitat for the endangered lenok fish in Korea.
After leaving the stream, the slope becomes somewhat steeper, leading to Munsubong Peak (1,510m). From the summit of Munsubong Peak, you can view the Taebaeksan ridge.
Descend back to the starting point in the direction of Baekcheongyegok Valley, which you ascended. During the descent, you can leisurely go down while listening to the sound of the valley stream. The hike concludes upon arrival at Hyeonbulsa Temple parking lot.
